What could possibly top a day of golf, camaraderie and perhaps, a little business schmoozing? The after-party!
The Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County’s 2nd Annual Leaders on the Links Golf Tournament and Holiday Party drew many local notables to the prestigious PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie for the double-decker fundraising celebration.
Distinguished partygoers enjoyed delectable food and beverages as they contributed to the cause by bidding on top-tier auction items that included a VIP tour of the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary hosted by Jacob Busch, a Clydesdale Experience, a trip to see the NY Mets (airfare/hotel included), plus many more sensational items!
Peter Tesch, the organization’s president, said, “Funds will used to focus on growing the economy and to help bring quality jobs for our residents and families here in St. Lucie County!” A portion of the proceeds will also benefit the Peter W. Busch Family Foundation whose mission compliments that of the EDC- helping to make the community better and stronger for those who live here.
Philip Busch, president of title sponsor Southern Eagle Distributing and the Peter W. Busch Family Foundation, affirmed his commitment to the EDC, saying, “We need to do everything we can to help each other bring as many businesses to the area as possible. We are so convinced that the EDC is on the right path that we have signed on to this event for the next three years!
The EDC’s Strategic Plan 2015-2020 is comprised of six specific themes: Land & Buildings; Image & Branding; Infrastructure; Business Climate; Business Retention, Expansion & Attraction; and, Tourism.
